Manufacturing

Shu Da slippers are made in a traditional way with String lasted uppers.

The string is pulled tight and knotted which allows each slipper to be adjusted to fit the last properly giving a perfect shape and fit.

The bottom of the last and upper is hammered flat to reduce wrinkles and provide a flat and even base for sole attachment.

The lasted upper is attached to a direct sole injection machine and the soling compound injected into the mould and fixed to the lasted upper.
